Vernon Kay is such an easy gent to get on with. So I have no idea how he finds it hard to get on with anyone. But one Hollywood star got right on his nerves! He tells me: “Jack Black was a pain in the derriere – I interviewed him for Shallow Hal, Rock Skool and King Kong. He just wasn’t funny and was arrogant. Maybe he was ill or something – but maybe it was the first or last interview and he was grumpy. I can’t even watch his films now.” Such a shame!

It was a close call last week when Chelsea footballer Frank Lampard’s ex girlfriend Elen Rives and new squeeze Saskia Boxford nearly ran into each other over dinner in Knightsbridge!
Frank was around the corner celebrating with friends after his win over Liverpool at Stamford Bridge at trendy restaurant Carpaccio. And little did he know that Duck Face, oops, I mean Elen (check out those lips, peeps) was just feet way from Saskia as she dined with a pal at Zuma. A source dining near the pair revealed: “Saskia was calm and didn’t even bat an eyelid. But Elen recognised Saskia immediately and wanted to confront her in the restaurant. Thankfully Elen’s pals managed to persuade her to stay put at her table – but Elen was fuming and made a play to say ‘hello’ when Saskia got up to leave. Fortunately Saskia carried on walking and met up with Frank later on.”
Elen will probably be annoyed to hear that Frank’s apparently happy as larry with beautiful Saskia. My source adds: “Frank is really into Saskia and they are totally smitten now.” Good for them!

Nowadays you can’t go anywhere near a celebrity without becoming some spunky mystery person on their arm.

Take my pal Laura Gallacher for example. Yes, at one point she was dating Russell Brand (back in December 2006). But that all ended a long time ago and now they are incredibly good FRIENDS. Laura tells me: “It’s hilarious being continually referred to as the ‘mystery girl’. Russell is one of my best friends and I speak to him or see him almost every other day. There isn’t anything ‘mystery’ about it!”

That settles that one then!

I’ve just posted a funny chat with John Barrowman from last week. He’s promoting his new show Tonight’s The Night, which starts Saturday 18 April, BBC1. It’s in the Interviews section people!

Some celebrities are just fortunate when it comes to maintaining their figures, but television presenter Kirsty Gallacher has to work hard to maintain her enviable curves.
The star told me last week: “I’m not one of those people that are just blessed. I work reasonably hard for this body and I can’t just lay back and relax. I’m into my fitness and it does make me laugh that people still think they can go on a treadmill for 40 minutes and everything will change. You need to do more than that. You have got to keep your body guessing and push the boundaries all the time.
“I do three sessions a week and I do two sessions of weight training. Heavy weights. Talking 8-9kgs and lots of reps. My working out is very hardcore and I often feel extremely sick. I gage my work out sessions on whether I feel sick after. If I feel sick then it was a great session.”
Kirsty, 33, who’s been dating rugby star Paul Sampson, 31, for four years and gave birth to their son Oscar in December 2006, reveals she’s only just getting her body back to normal after giving birth to their boy. She says: “My pre-baby figure has only just come back stomach wise. He’s nearly two and a half now and they do say it takes 18 months for stomachs to get back to normal anyhow – but mine has taken longer. My bust has gone down a lot since having him. It happened to my mum – after she breast fed her breast area reduced. They’ve got a bit smaller.
“I never say never but for me I won’t get a boob job yet. I’m too frightened right now. I hope that in the future there’ll be an advancement in the process so it won’t be that sore!”
One phrase the TV star swears by is ‘no pain, no gain’ – she even enjoyed childbirth! She says: “I had the most amazing experience with the birth. It was fantastic. I was enduced and had an epidural in the end but I did hold off as long as I could. Childbirth was agonisingly painful but I enjoyed it. It’s hard work but the good you get out of the pain is worth it. Even now I’m always broody. Being through childbirth once hasn’t put me off having another child at all.”
But Kirsty does hope her next pregnancy will be slightly easier – she was sick as a dog throughout the 9 months first time around. “I was incredibly ill throughout my pregnancy first time around but it hasn’t put me off,” she adds. “I was sick throughout, craving cheese and hamburgers all the time and I used to carry dog poo bags in my bag to be sick in.
“I’m praying this time I won’t be sick but my mum was sick with all of us – and I’m sure I’ll be sick again. Pregnancy was like a hangover every day for me.”
The brunette has just finished working on the new series of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Take Away and is hoping to venture into the style and fashion world of TV with her next work. But before getting into a big TV series, she’s hoping to get plans to wed her London Welsh rugby star boyfriend Paul. She giggles: “We’d love to get married. But I think I’ll have to start pressurising him soon. It’s been a hard few years. He lost his father four years ago, then there was rugby stuff going on when he changed clubs from Wasps and then Oscar came along as an accident – albeit a good one. I’d plan the next baby if I’m lucky enough to get pregnant again – but I’d love to get married.”

Those naughty Rolling Stones had better watch out. It sounds as if lead singer Sir Mick Jagger’s ex-missus Jerry Hall is out to get them with her new autobiography!

Jerry tells me she has no plans to hold back in her upcoming autobiography, Self-Portrait. She said at the Galaxy British Book awards: “I tried to be kind, I really did. But being kind just isn’t very funny. So I went with funny instead. It as truthful and honest as possible so I’m sure it will upset some people.”

I wonder if she’s talking about cheating scumbag Ronnie Wood – Jerry is Jo Wood’s bosom buddy after all!

Geri Halliwell moves faster than a whippet when it comes to finding new lovers! The singer turned successful children’s author has been spotted touching tongues with hunky Henry Beckwith over the weekend on a ski break in the French Alps resort of Courchevel. Henry and Gezza met when the Spice Girl took her two-year-old daughter Bluebell on a sunshine break to Mustique a few weeks ago and they were staying in the same resort.

I actually caught up with the star at a dinner two weeks ago and she made a point of telling everyone that she was officially “off men”. But she must have been telling us all porkies judging from these pictures! And it was only four weeks ago that Geri broke off her engagement to yacht tycoon Fabrizio Politi. I can hardly keep up….

In other news Geri’s become increasingly concerned about a creepy lone stalker that’s been hanging out around her pad in north London. A source tells me: “She’s so scared and freaked out by the hold thing. She hopes this guy will just leave her alone. But he’s terrifying her right now and keeps appearing out of nowhere and watching her – she’s scared for her daughter.” Geri’s had security at her home improved big time and is hoping he will get lost. Fingers crossed!
