Model Daisy Lowe stops and strikes a pose on the white carpet at the launch of the new Braun Silk-épil 7 Dual Epilator. The model showcased her two biggest passions of fashion and music DJing at the chic Hospital Club in London. One thing though – why so glum?

Glee stars Darren Criss and Dianna Agron pop along to Hard Rock Calling

Hard Rock Calling 2011 Day 1

I’m even more gutted that I didn’t get down to Hard Rock Calling now…..because look who turned up!

Darren Criss and Dianna Agron – who play Blaine Anderson and Quinn Fabray in Glee! And don’t they just look the cutest together!

My sources at the festival tell me the guys were talking aboout the possibility of a London based episode of the hit show. Dianna revealed: “There are talks – but we’ll have to wait and see.” Please let it happen!

Hard Rock Calling 2011 Day 1

Gwyneth Paltrow, Jay Z, Adele and Jessie J step out for Beyonce's '4' album launch

June 28th, 2011

1_FINAL

LAST NIGHT I was one of a thousand or so special guests and competition winners that descended upon Shepherd’s Bush Empire to watch Beyonce (I’m not bothering with a last name these days) launch her new album, 4.

After watching her Glastonbury performance expectations were high. And she definitely didn’t disappoint….

3_FINAL

I was totally transfixed as she belted out a few hits as well as a selection of new tracks from the new album. She kicked off with Run the World and new single Best Thing I Never Had, classic hits like Halo, Work it Out, Irreplaceable and Single Ladies followed. Then there were covers of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody and the Kings of Leon hit Sex is on Fire. I wasn’t quite so keen on that.

The real moment was when she belted out Listen from the Dreamgirls soundtrack. The audience was captivated beyond belief…..

Beyonce is just in a league of her own as a live performer. And refreshingly there’s no gimmick. She doesn’t need to dress up in bonkers outfits and preach a load of BS. She lays her talent out on the table when she performs. What you see is what you get. Some of the choreography she did last night was reminiscent of an early Tina Turner.

I actually cannot explain how splendid she was to watch. And what a treat at a venue like Shepherd’s Bush Empire – it was a total one off. I doubt the Queen Bee will play a venue that small for quite some time.

The VIP area – where sponsors Belvedere vodka produced exquisite cocktails for guests – was crammed with a list worthy of any A-List red carpet event. The star’s husband Jay Z sat front row of the balcony with mother-in-law Tina Knowles, sitting beside Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessie J, Stella McCartney and Adele, whose concerns for her recently damaged voice proved unfounded as she sang along to Single Ladies from the best seat in the house.

Other guests included Glee cast members Naya Rivera, Chord Overstreet, Chris Colfer, Mark Salling, Amber Riley, Darren Criss and Harry Shum Jr, who took a night out of their hectic European tour. Paloma Faith, Tom Ford, Ewan MacGregor, Matthew Williamson, Alexandra Burke, Sheridan Smith, JLS’ JB, The Sugababes’ Jade Ewen, Jade Parfitt, Mr Hudson, Henry Holland and Alison Mosshart

The rest of the gossip from Glastonbury!

June 26th, 2011

NG_Glasto-DeanandExample-110625-0019

Example is one of my favourite male pop-stars as he doesn’t mince his words. Fresh from his No 1 success with his latest single he has sharpened his tongue for Cher Lloyd and Alexandra Burke yet again.
“Alexandra wasn’t actually bright enough to figure out I wasn’t actually having a dig at her,” he told me in the Orange Garden. “She just came out of it looking stupid. And all I was saying about Cher is that she deserves better songs. From what I can gather she hates me so there’s no point in me actually writing her a good song. But to be honest it doesn’t matter whether they hate me or not because I’m going to be around for ten years and they’ll going to be around for ten minutes.”
And Example also reveals he’s being well behaved and avoiding any groupie loving as he’s happily settled with a girlfriend. Sensible boy.
“I’m now getting girls tweeting me being very sexually explicit. One girl told me my face looks really comfy and what she wanted to do it with her naked body.” Yikes.

Fearne Cotton was having the time of her life at the festival – presenting for BBC3′s coverage of proceedings. But fortunately the star managed to get out to see one band perform. Fearne told me: “Swaying in the mud to U2 was pretty sweet – definitely my highlight. Then I went and raved hard in the dance village to the brilliance of Annie Mac. The weather has been a bit crap – but everyone’s one such great form. I ruined my new pink jeans though. So that sucked.”

Models were everywhere at Glasto. And with those extra long legs and trademark hunters the girls seemed far more equipped to trudge through the mud than me! I spied Lily Donaldson shoving down a huge English breakfast, Poppy Delevingne dancing in hospitality and her Burberry model sister Cara mingling with the mere mortals outside of VIP. Class acts!

There was no slumming it for Pixie Geldof at this year’s festival. The star looked fresh faced throughout the weekend thanks to being put up in a stylish winnebago. Pixie, who was there with friends including fashion designer Henry Holland, told me: “We’re not slumming it this year. We’ve got a winne which is brilliant. Makes a change from our usual camping. I’m perfectly willing to camp. But it’s quite nice to not be slumming it for once.” Lucky girl.

Above: Xtra Factor star Caroline Flack and me hit the mud….

Glastonbury organisers are already starting to think about performers for Glasto 2013, after Pilton Farm takes a well deserved break next year. And top of the list for huge names to perform is David Bowie. I hear the Starman himself – who last performed at the festival in 2000, is high up on the wish list of Michael and Emily Eavis. A source tells me: “It’s early days but the festival always wants David to be involved in some way – so I wouldn’t be surprised if he was top of the bill for the next year. He’d love to do it and he will return to live performing at some point in the near future.” Now that would be a reason to stand in the mud again!

I’ve heard of some big diva demands but US pop tart Kesha takes the mickey! I watched in horror just before the demanding diva stepped out onto stage to perform her set. But she didn’t just jump out of her car into the mud. The star was strategically lifted from the car into a fresh and clean pair of wellies. Come on Kesh, embrace the mud!

Two people at the festival managed to win in the bonkers style stakes. First up Will Young wore his trademark women’s wig to go undetected by the crowd in VIP. But Will was pipped to the post as worst dressed by Kate Moss’ friend Fran Cutler who I spotted wearing a pure white fur coat. WHITE! If that jacket goes home without a mud stain on it will be a miracle!

SHHHH
WHICH sibling of a celebrity needs to watch his behaviour in public at the festival. I spied this guy buying poppers from a dealer in one of the dance tents! Hilarious!

This year the live acts were just beyond good. I caught U2 blitz the Pyramid stage in the belting rain but fans couldn’t care less if they were wet! Another highlight was Two Door Cinema Club – who were great live – and I loved every minute of Fenech Soler’s return following Ben Duffy’s tough year battling cancer. Fenech were on fire! Rumer provided the chilled time yesterday afternoon with a beautiful set and Coldplay were just incredible last night.

It doesn’t seem like Alfie Allen and Jaime Winstone are friends now – despite having split months ago. I spied the pair at the KR3W jeans launch and the pair didn’t even say a single word to each other all night. Jaime was on one side of the room chilling with friends at the Lovebullet Shangri-La area and Alfie was very much with his man friends at the other side. I loved those two as a couple – sad they’re not still together.

I had to laugh when I heard what the London VIP spa Rehab and Hot Tune spa resort have done as a special treatment. The cheeky guys there have created a special “Wayne Rooney delicate head massage” following his hair transplant operation. Funny considering Wayne is staying just a stones throw away from the footballer and his wife Coleen’s £8,000 winnebago in Winding Lake Farm. I also hear popstar Lily Allen had the special spa closed down for a nice and special makeover ahead of her trotting around to see some bands!

Radio One’s Gemma Cairney was on the wagon throughout most of the festival as she had to be sober and with it to present her show from the fields. Gem told me: “I’m trying to work out if I can have a beer now and be fine for later. But I’m not sure. It kinda sucks….but how many people can call it work being at Glastonbury like this. I’ve had an awesome time with my best mates and there’s still loads to go.” Enjoy, Gem!

Sweet smelling ladies of Glasto beware – Professor Green is on the prowl….despite having a girlfriend.
The rapper tells me that when it comes to getting down and dirty at a festival there’s one very important deal-breaker.
“They don’t even have to be good-looking – just clean! “He laughed. Days two and three is when girls who stay at B&B’s really come into their own.”
And Pro Green revealed he was up to the early hours on Friday night breathing in funky fumes.
“I think I was caught smoking a spliff. Considering my name I don’t think it will come as any real surprise,” he added. “I think my record label will find out it funny.”

Glasto veteran Jo Whiley has already drafted up her ultimate wish-list of Glasto headliners for 2013.
David Bowie and Prince definitely have to be up there. Then I’d love to see The Foo Fighters headline too,” she said. “They’ve never actually played Glasto and I think it’s high-time they got themselves here. Maybe Dave Grohl thinks it’s too much of a hippy vibe for him.”
Despite criticism from some Glasto purists, Jo is all for Beyonce headlining tonight and thinks the haters should booty-shake off.
“It will be an absolute spectacle. She just sounds like she has every final detail pinned down and is completely in control”, she added. “I really hope Jay Z joins her on-stage – it would be rude of the Jiggerman not to.”

Two people I never thought seeing out-partying the likes of Coleen and Wayne Rooney were definitely comedian Harry Enfield and telly presenter Angus Deaton.
The pair supped endless cups of booze and tucked into bacon butties into the wee hours. And Henry tells me he has big plans for later today: “I’m definitely going to go and booty-shake to Beyonce. We’ve seen lots of acts but sought shelter in the VIP hospitality tent half-way through U2′s set as we got too wet.” Rock n’ roll.

Well Jessie J got the surprise of her life after her blistering set at Glastonbury when supermodel Kate Moss decided to swing by to say hello.
I’m told after the Kills set Miss Moss popped by after telling friends she was a huge fan. My source reveals: “Kate was really desperate to meet Jessie and has been a fan for quite some time.
“She popped by with friends and Jessie was overwhelmed. She’s a huge fan of Kate Moss so it really made her year. Kate stayed for half an hour with Jessie and said they should hook up for a drink sometime soon.” Oh to be a fly on the wall with that one!

Kate Moss spent the day yesterday parading around Glastonbury. It’s just a week until she marries The Kills guitarist Jamie Hince. But she looked far from into her husband to his set. My backstage mole told me: “Kate spent most of her time on the phone. And hiding out the side of the stage out of view from the lenses.” Fellow supermodel Agyness Deyn and Jaime Winstone supported their mate Kate at the side of the stage too.

It would appear U2 singer Bono is able to mix with the mortals on the odd occasion. I spied Bono in the hospitality bar having a morning brew with other guests. Good for him!

IMG_0572

Good news for fans of Rumer (above with me). The songstress is working on not one but two new albums. The star told me following her set: “The first album is a cover album of tracks written by men that were not runaway hits. Like the secret beauties. And the second is an album of all new original material. I’m writing for that pretty soon. The plan is for now to bring out an album a year. I want to keep things fresh. Playing Glastonbury was a dream come true but I can’t hang about as I’m off to Hard Rock Calling for tomorrow.”
The more Rumer the better as far as I’m concerned!

Alexa Chung seemed to be enjoying her Glasto experience – despite not seeing any bands until Saturday afternoon. The star arrived with Arctic Monkeys boyfriend Alex Turner on her arm and told me yesterday: “I can’t believe I’ve not seen one band yet! I’ve just been with friends and catching up with people.  I’m off to see The Horrors now and then will be firmly watching music tonight.” Better late than never!

Weird celebrity relationship alert. After dumping Made In Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews I hear that Topshop heiress Chloe Green has now swapped him for his long-haired co-star Ollie Locke. Yes you did read that correctly. Self confessed ‘bisexual’ Ollie….
Why Chloe is hanging out on Ollie’s arm when she must have tons of potential suitors I have no idea.
But my impeccable source tells me they’re very happy: “It’s only been a week but already they are talking about being in love. Ollie can’t stop talking about Chloe and wants everyone to know he’s dating her. He keeps saying how amazing and wonderful she is. Chloe also went and got her tongue-pierced the other day as Ollie said he finds girls with piercings hot. They are keen to show off their romance and have already been to some big celeb bashes together this week like Elton John’s White Diamond & Tiara Ball.”
They were due to rock up to Glastonbury together looking cosy and hand-in-hand. But I’m told he was worried there “wouldn’t be enough picture opportunities”. Contrived much…..

NG_Glasto-DeanandCheska-110625-6217

And while we’re on the subject of Made In Chelsea…..I can’t wait for a second series of the show later this year. And with the start of filming penned in for July it sounds like cast-member Cheska Hull (above with me) can’t either and has big plans for series two if she’s back.
“I think a relationship for me is on the cards and it’s something my fans really want,” she said. “I’m really hoping I find a boyfriend as I think that will be fun. But it’s hard enough finding a guy let alone one that wants to be on the show. I think Fred is really hot and funny but I don’t think he fancies me. Hugo and Spencer would be a definite no as they’re lovely guys but players. No-one is safe right now though and they’ve made that very clear. We found out next week who is in it and who isn’t. It’s really scary because we’re like a family but then it’s exciting to keep it fresh at the same time with new cast members. I’d really love to do it again. ”

But one thing Cheska definitely doesn’t want to see on her jewel-encrusted telly is relationship drama between Spencer and Caggie. “I really hope it doesn’t carry on because I’m bored of it and I think the viewers are slightly bored of it,” she added. I agree. It’s all about Hugo and Millie.

Hot newcomer Maverick Sabre was on his best behaviour at his first ever Glastonbury after a previous messy festival experience.
He told me in the Orange Garden: “A few years ago I didn’t take wellies to a festival as I wanted to style it out with a white pair of trainers. The last thing I remember is watching Brian Wilson with a bottle of rum. The weather was so bad and I was so drunk the next thing I wake up missing three toenails. Luckily they grew back.” Eeeeew.

Chris Martin persuaded Beyonce to play at Glastonbury

June 26th, 2011

He’s written a couple of pretty good tunes in his time but it looks like there’s something else we should thank Coldplay star Chris Martin for.

I’m told US superstar Beyoncé was reluctant to sign up to playing Glasto because she was worried that her brand of divalicious pop wouldn’t go down well with the hardcore festival crowd, especially after her hubby Jay-Z received a truckload of flak for headlining the festival back in 2008.

But after a few calming words from Chris, he managed to convince his pal that she would have an absolute blast. Organiser Emily Eavis said: “Chris is a bit wary of people knowing he’s been so involved. I don’t know why because it’s actually cool. Chris is as loyal as they come – he’ll do anything for Glastonbury.

“He’s really an unlikely frontman, most people are a bit more all-consumed with their own thing.”

I’m told Beyoncé plans to throw everything she’s got into tonight’s performance after splashing out on a staggering £100,000 stage show.

Emily added: “Luckily we spoke to Beyoncé before she planned her tour this year, so she managed to put Glastonbury in her schedule, then build a European tour around it.”

There’s an extra-special surprise for Bey and hubby Jay-Z after the no-doubt electrifying set the Destiny’s Child star is set to perform this evening. Best mates Chris and wife Gwyneth Paltrow are hosting a special celebration party for her after the performance. My sources tell me Gwynnie has been beavering away for weeks organising the little shindig that will undoubtedly be the must-have party ticket of the weekend.

My backstage source reveals: “It’s being held in a private Winnebago area before a select few head over to the nearby Babington House hotel. Gwyneth’s made sure there’s Cristal champagne and Belvedere vodka on tap for the guests.”

Oh, for an invite to that little soirée…

Will.i.am "blocks" his Cher Lloyd collaboration from Simon Cowell and Syco

June 19th, 2011

More bad news for X Factor pop star Cher Lloyd.
This week a demo of the singer’s brand new single Swagger Jagger leaked online for one and all to hear and received a mixed response and now I hear another of her debut album tracks is in serious trouble.
I can reveal her collaborator Will.i.am is “holding back” the eagerly awaited song in the wake of his client Cheryl Cole’s sacking from X Factor US. And from what I hear it’s worrying all the team working on Cher’s debut album – who are desperate for the track to be included on the album.
The pair went straight into the studio after the X Factor final and put together what they both thought was a killer chart hit – but now it seems the hard work may never see the light of day.
My impeccable source tells me: “Will wanted to sign Cher from the get go and work on her career – but she signed to Modest Management because of what her contract said after the show. So he was miffed to start with.
“Now with everything that’s happened to Cheryl, and the fact he’s now managing her too, he’s decided to play hardball with Syco. He’s refusing to send the track into them and they just don’t know what’s happening.
“The track they made was huge and Cher was counting on it being a single and it all looks like it is going to have to be pulled the way things stand. Will is point black refusing to let Syco even have the song – let alone use it.”
My source says the row that’s been brewing over the past few weeks has been the source of real frustration for the A+R team at Syco that are working with Cher as she prepares to unleash her music.
The source continues: “It isn’t fair on Cher with what Will.i.am is doing right now. He doesn’t seem worried about Cher at all. He’s just annoyed about what’s happened with Cheryl – and it’s very unfair to be making Cher pay for all of what has happened.”
But this isn’t the first time that Will.i.am has been rumoured to be causing trouble behind the scenes in the business. When Cheryl was negotiating her situation with the move from X Factor US to the UK sources say the situation wasn’t made any easier by Will.i.am and the team looking after her.  “People are starting to talk about it now,” adds my source. “They were acting very high and mighty with Cheryl and it was noted how difficult the management team were to deal with. Some even say it was partly to blame with what happened to Cheryl. They just need to chill out and remember everyone is human.”

A Syco spokeman declined to comment. Sounds like somebody needs to put their toys back in the pram! Miss Lloyd – who I believe will have a huge solo career – shouldn’t have to suffer in all of this….

On The Grapevine…..

June 19th, 2011

James Blunt performed a cracking set at the Hampton Court Palace Festival this week. I popped down to see him play and caught up with the main man after. Kelly Brook was in the audience enjoying a night out with girlfriends. James told me at the after party: “Where’s Kelly Brook? I heard she was in the crowd but she hasn’t come back here, damn it.” The star barely had time to party the night away – he was straight back on the road to continue his grueling European tour….

Josh Bray is fast becoming one of my favourite up and coming artists. His album Whisky and Wool is fabulously chilled with it’s folk style sound. Josh is about the start work on his new album and this week supported Matthew Morrison at Hammersmith Apollo. Chelsy Davy was whooping when Josh sang, Arlene Phillips looked engrossed and Matthew himself was impressed too. Check out www.joshbray.co.uk for more.

Trendy new band The Good Natured are flicking my switch big time. The new act have signed to Parlophone and will be a big priority later in the year. They’ve just been picked to headline BBC’s Introducing stage at Glastonbury on Saturday. There debut track Skeleton is ace. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for them!

Those lovely folks at Orange are offering festival goers at Glastonbury the chance to watch a top band side of the Pyramid stage at the festival next weekend. I’ll be there reporting from the muddy fields and hanging out with the celebrity crowds! Win your tickets at www.orange.co.uk/glastonbury from tomorrow!

Congratulations to hotel and club King Mark Fuller on the successful launch of his new Portugal hang out Embassy Beach. 90210 star Jessica Lowndes was the star of the extravaganza on Friday night. But not everything went according to plan – both Jessica and Mark missed their Easyjet flights and were forced to fly to Lisbon and travel bar car to Embassy! Jess told me: “We sang Grease and Rihanna all the way and I drove.”

Could Mollie King and David Gandy be preparing to move in together already? I hear the star was overheard in the Vintage Rose clothes shop in Richmond saying she was”house hunting in the area” with her boyfriend. Well that’s certainly moving along nicely isn’t it? I guess once you’ve snagged THE Dolce and Gabbana model you speed ahead.

The stars were out in full force to celebrate the launch of OMEGA Ladymatic this week. Jodie Kidd and model Olivia Inge were nattering in one corner, Matt Cardle made a somewhat rare appearance out and everybody’s favourite topless gardener Jesse Metcalfe was eyeing up the models. Fabulous.

The rest of this week's column…..featuring Alicia Keys, Ed Sheeran and Sophie Ellis-Bextor

June 19th, 2011

This week’s Black Ball raised thousands for Alicia Keys’ charity Keep A Child Alive AIDS charity. But on the night there was one rather peculiar guest alongside rappers like Tinie Tempah and Ms. Dynamite and stars including Paloma Faith and Mark Ronson.
Step forward Sir David Frost. The 72-year-old veteran presenter turned out for Alicia to interview her for his chat show on Middle East network Al Jazeera. But Sir David clearly doesn’t have any airs and graces when it comes to waiting for the talent to become available. I’m told he spent the day nattering to Queen Elizabeth at Ascot before whizzing to Camden’s Roundhouse for the event. My source tells me: “Sir David was so low key. He arrived and watched the whole event before doing an interview at gone midnight. He wasn’t worried – he just wanted to talk to her about her charity work for the network and of course Alicia was thrilled to get her message out to the 250 million viewers.” Check out www.keepachildalive.org for more details.

Lohan 2

PlayStation have created a series of cheeky celebrity comic strips for you all to enjoy as they launch new game Infamous 2. Lindsay Lohan, Cheryl Cole and Pippa Middleton all fall victim to the hilarious comic strips. Notorious drug smuggler Howard Marks has given them a hand editing them and you can
check them out from tomorrow at www.infamousthefame.com.

Spice Girl Melanie C is going to be back in a big way when her 5th studio album drops in towards the end of the summer. Trust me. The star feels it’s the best thing she’s made for years – and will mark her UK comeback to the music scene. Melanie told me this week: “I’m still working hard on the album but it’s definitely the most I’ve been excited about things for a long time. I really think this album will do well in the UK. I’ve enjoyed the whole process more than anything else I’ve made.”
Melanie will be taking part in this year’s Virgin Active London Triathlon and so will I! Yep, you read that correctly. I’ve decided to enter the event that takes place on July 30 and I’m raising money for Macmillan cancer Support. Mel joked at the launch: “With all your partying you do I’m expecting you to take a nice chilled cycle around the course with a basket on the front and one of Geri Halliwell’s dogs in it.” Ha! If you can spare some cash then sponsor me at www.virginmoneygiving.com/DeanPiper.

InStyle and Dolce & Gabbana Party
It’s been a decade since the release of Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s (above) first solo single Murder On The Dancefloor. Now Make A Scene, her forth album, is released and says her showbiz mum (Blue Peter presenter Janet Ellis) is what kept her from going off the rails over the years. “I think because my parents were in showbusiness they never became my fans and got too exited about the things that I was doing,” she said. “They were obviously proud of me but never became too fixated. If you are doing a job like mine which you adore but are also not really in control of then you have two options. You either make sure you have a life outside so if it all went away tomorrow you would still have that or you enter the showbiz world and feel that you can’t leave it because it’s so intrinsic to who you are. I think for me it’s the former.”
And Soph admits that she’s come a long way since battles with Victoria Beckham. “I think I appreciate and enjoy it all a lot more now. I feel so much more relaxed about it all. The stakes are still high but I don’t feel like I’m still trying to prove myself. I don’t think people are suspicious of me anymore. People know what I’m about now.” Indeed they do – and Make A Scene is fantastic pop!

Dance diva Cascada’s new album Original Me – out June 20 – almost didn’t happen. Natalie Horler from the platinum selling dance act was devastated to find a large nodule on her vocal cords last year. The condition can wipe out a singer’s voice if you go untreated. Just ask poor Julie Andrews. Natalie needed lengthy emergency surgery, months of painful vocal and speech therapy to bring her back to health. Eeeek. Glad you’re back Nat!

When you get a phonecall from Elton John you know you’re doing something right. Newcomer Ed Sheeran is battling Example and Calvin Harris for the No.1 spot with his fantastic debut single The A Team and it sounds like Uncle Elton is on board as a fan. “It was really weird and random to get a call from Elton as he was one of my biggest idols growing up,” he said. “It’s really good of him to champion new artists as he doesn’t need to do it. I’d love to collaborate with him in the future or do a cover of Don’t Go Breaking My Heart and get Adele to sing Kiki Dee’s part.”
But any celebration plans this weekend won’t consist of him stumbling out of clubs drunk with a model under each arm. “I went off the rails when I first moved to London as I came here when I was quite young and without parents,” Ed added. “At the start of this year I decided I was getting into a good state with my music and decided to stop drinking. Since I’ve done that everything seems to have tripled in size so I’m now sticking to being sober.” Clever boy.

Amanda Holden & Battersea dog Patrick

Amanda Holden (above) is brilliant in Shrek The Musical. Playing Princess Fiona you forget she’s even a judge on BGT! The star tells me she hopes the film’s Princess Fiona, Cameron Diaz, manages to catch the show wheilst she’s in town promoting Bad Teacher. She quipped: “I don’t know if Cameron Diaz will come and see it while she’s in town but if she does I’ll be OK with it. After all she only did the voice. She didn’t tap dance darling, did she.
“They only thing is she’s 6ft tall so I’ll be carrying a box around with me just in case I do meet her. Either that or just wear 8 inch heels but even those probably won’t be big enough.”
And the jack-of-all-trades tells me she has one final talent that she’s kept a secret up until now. “I’ve always been able to fart and burp on queue darling,” she laughed. “It’s under special skills on my CV. It’s because I’m a vegetarian.”

Nicola Roberts has plans to make a brand new super girl band! And why not now Girls Aloud look like they’ll not bother to make a full comeback for another year. The star performs at T4 on the Beach next month and tells me she’s desperate to create a new super group. “I’d like to do a trio with Jessie J and Katy B,” she said. How cool would that be! Catch Nicola performing in front of 45,000 people in Weston-super-Mare on Sunday July 10. Last tickets to see her perform are available at www.channel4.com/t4.
