EMI threw a fabulous bash post Brits on the Silver Sturgeon moored outside the O2. Sponsored by Puma and Singha beer the bash really kicked off. Damon Albarn (abover with me) and Alex James enjoyed drinkies with Noel Gallagher, new Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model judge Tyson Beckford (below with me) said he couldn’t wait to get started filming the new series of the show, Dermot O’Leary and wife-to-be Dee Koppang nattered away to Arsenal footballer Cese Fabregas and Chris Martin was in the mood to “party hop” and whizzed around saying hello to everyone.
Professor Green and Made in Chelsea star Millie MacKintosh also made a cute couple – even posing up together in the PUMA photo booth. Get them.
Top marks to Universal Music for their fabulous Tate Modern post Brit Awards party. Hosted with Bacardi and Soho House the event attracted a huge amount of stars. Florence Welch (below with me after coming off stage) span the tunes with Will.i.am, Tinie Tempah partied before scooting to a private event at new club Scotch with Lana Del Ray, Jessie J and Nicole Scherzinger brought the sex appeal and Dizzee Rascal kept things real surrounded by a bevy of girls.
Harry Styles meanwhile seemed to be Mr Popular at the Sony bash in Mayfair’s Arts Club. Topshop heiress Chloe Green made sure she got one-on-one time with the 1D star and my spies caught them having a friendly chat which saw Chloe fluttering her lashes. Meanwhile Topshop boss Phillip Green accompanied his daughter to the bash but spent most of the evening with his ear glued to his mobile looking rather serious loosen up big guy!
Harry Styles and Noel Gallagher seemed to hit it off well at the Sony bash. The former Oasis frontman initially split a glass of wine over Harry when he put his glass down hard on a table and the stem snapped off. After helping dab Harry down and apologising profusely the two musicians had a good old chin-wag and were spotted getting on famously. Noel later spent the night in a quiet corner chatting with his new wife Sara MacDonald and Chris Martin (below with me).
In second place was Noel Gallagher and Dame Kelly Holmes who were chatting at the award ceremony. Noel was overheard telling one of his friends, “She’s a dame! She doesn’t mix with s**t-kickers like us!” True.
I love Louis Walsh as he’s not afraid to sharpen his claws. And when I caught up with him he has filed them especially for Cher Lloyd over her recent comments about former mentor Cheryl Cole. He told me: “I’m not surprised. I warned Cheryl about her at the time but she didn’t listen and now I have been proved right. And you can quote me on that too.” Miaow.
JLS star Aston Merrygold had me in stitches because he cannot handle his booze! The pint-sized popstar was definitely the drunkest celeb at the bash by far and it seemed he was the randiest too. No girl was safe in his path and if he wasn’t trying to smooth talk one he was trying to snog another. My spies over heard him saying to one brunette, “Babe all I need for a chat-up line is to say hello my name is Aston”. Eek.
JLS’ Marvin Humes couldn’t stop dropping the F-bomb around Rochelle Wiseman. The pair looked unbelievably loved up and Marvin was making sure he used the words “my fiancee” at every opportune moment. But I’m happy to report the very slender Rochelle has yet to turn in to Bridezilla ahead of their summer nuptials. “I’ve already arranged everything for the wedding as we are now both busy with work – The Saturday’s are filming a video for a new single and Una’s bump is going to be massive in it! Marvin and I both knew what we wanted so it wasn’t too difficult and I also have got a wedding planner to help. I’ve got the dress and it’s gorgeous but I want to keep the designer a secret until the day.” Good luck to them….
Little Mix’s debut album sounds like it is beginning to shape up well. Jade Thirlwall told me that they’ve got big ideas for it. “We really want to bring back old school harmonies mixed with R&B and hip-hop. We don’t really know what is happening with the Tulisa’s duet yet as it’s still really early days and we’re concentrating on the first single. We’d also love Jessie J to write for us.” And though the ladies told me they are still single because they don’t have the time I spied JLS’ Aston Merrygold trying his luck with more than one of them!
Christine Bleakley (who was partying with Louie Spence and me at the Sony bash) and Frank Lampard may be having kids sooner than you think….the Dancing On Ice presenter teased that she has adopted the One Direction boys! “I love the One Direction boys and I want to adopt them. It’s like I’m their adopted big sister!” she laughed. “I’ve known Niall for ages and he’s a massive fan of Chelsea and Frank so he came along to a game the weekend which was great fun. It’s nice to be able to do that.” And on cue Niall came up with a drink in his hand for Christine. But she discretely put it to one side after it turns out the cheeky scamps made sure that it was extra strong!
Don’t mess with Danny O’Donoghue from The Script. The new judge on The Voice is now gunning for BRITs host James Corden after the singer was the butt of one of his jokes during an on-screen chat with Jessie J.
Danny told me after the incident: “I know he was only joking but it just makes me laugh because when I come back next year and win an award I’m going to make James Corden personally present it to me and then get them to replay tonight’s incident on screen.”
And the hunky Irishman also took a sly dig at fellow Voice mentor will.i.am. “I hear Will.i.am is going to be DJing at the Universal party. I was meant to be DJing too at the Sony party but now I have to give it a miss as I’m going to head to the studio instead. I was going to just do what will does and bring my iPod along and press play and pretend that is DJing! I’m taking The Voice really seriously and as we are filming tomorrow I don’t want to have a late night.”
Noel Gallagher (above with me) tells me he rated The BRITs 2012 even if he dislikes most of the music on offer. “I think The BRITs are getting much slicker. I haven’t been here in about seventeen years if you exclude the time Oasis picked up the Lifetime Achievement Award or whatever it’s called. It’s got a lot more pop since those days. I’m not a massive pop fan but it’s the in thing really, isn’t it? I don’t really listen to any of it but Rihanna looks really good tonight!”
Noel was on great form when I collared him after the ceremony. Cheeky as ever….
Rihanna may have the world at her feet but she took a shine to her manicurists earrings on the night of her BRITs performance – so nabbed them for herself! Jenny Longworth, who also tended the nails of Pixie Lott in the Revlon Nail Bar in the backstage BRITs spa area, was commissioned to create bespoke nail designs for RiRi and while she was tending to her nails RiRi asked is she could have her massive gold hoop earrings to wear while on-stage!
Later that night Rihanna hot-footed it over to Mahiki where she had own private area. My spies tell me that the DJ was deliberately dropped Chris Brown tunes – including their new collaboration on Turn Up The Music – and Ri was going wild for them. Silly girl.
