On The Grapevine……from New York Fashion Week

*The Marchesa show also attracted a whole host of stars including Emmy Rossum, Ugly Betty’s Becki Newton and Gossip Girl Blake Lively. And from the sounds of it Marchesa boss Georgina Chapman (who’s happily married to film boss Harvey Weinstein) has been extending her fashion experience to the acting world. I overheard Blake talking to Harvey and she squealed: “Oh my God. Georgina’s amazing – and she can actually act. She was brilliant.” So I take it Georgina’s in Gossip Girl for a guest appearance?!

*There’s a lot less junk in the trunk of reality Queen Kim Kardashian. She was looking svelte at the Baby Phat show and  told me: “I’ve lost another 5lbs – I’ve been doing the Trim Spa diet and it’s really worked for me. I’ve still got curves but a little less than before.” Indeed she has!

*I fear Michael Douglas may have been tricked into attending the Michael Kors show in NYC as a secret spy for his missus Catherine Zeta Jones. He said: “I’ve just realised I’ve been sent here and there’s an ulterior motive. I’ll have to let Catherine know what I think later.”

*Madonna’s ex boy toy – and the father of her eldest daughter Lourdes – Carlos Leon looked happily in love with a petite peroxide blonde when I spotted him curled up on a couch and snogging away outside trendy Soho cocktail bar Bread during the week. Good for him!

*Courtney Love popped by the swanky Standard Hotel in the Meat Packing District for a Boom Box launch bash and spent most of her time inside chewing the ear off Kate Moss’s publishing ex Jefferson Hack. The party offered the most insane views of the city!

*Sex and the City’s fashion guru Patricia Field tells me filming for the new movie is going just swimmingly. And despite being “exhausted” she’s feeling under little pressure with trend setting as she dresses Samantha, Miranda, Charlotte and Carrie. Pat told me: “I’m not worried about being judged for what I dress the girls in. It’s not about setting trends – it’s about getting the outfits right for their roles. Each lady’s so unique so it’s a big job working on the film. But so far so good.”
