What’s been your inspiration for your new very.co.uk range?
My mother’s seventies wardrobe, Jimmy Page, Glam Rock, David Bowie – I’d say the whole collection is gothy but elegant. I’ve been involved right from the start – so it wasn’t a case of me just lending my name to some company to release a range. I’ve done the sketches, overseen the whole process an worked hard. I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve done with this range.
Who would you most like to dress in one of your outfits?
Chloe Sevigny would be the ultimate. I could die a happy woman if that happened. I think she’s just stunning. And I’d love to get Cheryl Cole in one of my dresses too. It’s quite up her street.
You take over from Jo Whiley soon with your partner in crime Reggie Yates on Radio One – big shoes to fill?
Huge schoes to fill really. I’m very excited about it but obviously there will only be one Jo Whiley. We’ll be taking over doing the Live Lounge on our show. I’d love to have the likes of Kings of Leon, MGMT and Vampire Weekend. Jay-Z will be doing Jo’s final Live Lounge in her house! Which will be extremely exciting.
How has filming gone on your ‘Fearne and….’ show for ITV2?
It’s gone great – we’re nearly there and I can’t wait for it to come out. Paris Hilton was totally amazing. I had an opinion of what I thought she’d be like beforehand but she’s proved me wrong on a lot of levels. She’s not what you automatically think she’s going to be. She’s very funny and very smart. I loved going into her house and having a nose though. She has this huge walk in ardrobe with a secret door into a seperate shoe wardrobe and there’s a stripper’s pole there too. I gave it a go!
