Isla Fisher and boyfriend Sacha Baron Cohen decided not to mix with the punters at the bash for Isla’s new movie Confessions of a Shopaholic on Monday.
Isla, who possibly has become a little above her station told organisers she was “tired and camera shy” at the after show bash. Erm, it’s her big chance to be the film star she’s always wanted to be! She should be working it!
Earlier in the evening the former Home and Away star talked about Sacha’s next controversial film Bruno, where he plays a flamboyant gay Austrian fashionista. She laughed: “He’s here with me tonight, but I don’t think it would have been appropriate for him to have come dressed as Bruno! I’ve seen the [Bruno] movie already and it’s hysterical – but I can’t reveal any more about it. Were the designers annoyed he stormed their runway shows? You’ll have to wait and see.”
Also at the premiere was Atomic Kitten star Liz McLarnon (who told me she’s currently on a gruelling detox regime and on a mission to be a size six), I’m A Celebrity glamourpuss Nicola McLean, former Blue singer Duncan James, Hugh Dancy (who looks a bit like Will Young in real life), TV gal Sara Cawood, new singer VV Brown and soul supremo Beverly Knight.
With regards to the film – based on Sophie Kinsella’s best selling book – I can tell you I enjoyed it and Isla’s clearly made for a comedy role. It’s definitely worth a look!
The talk of the party, held at posh jewellers Asprey, wasn’t actually Isla. It was all about Ronnie Wood’s ex wife Jo. She showed up looking pretty amazing in a blue Herve Leger bandage dress and Louboutin heels. Click here to check out the outfits. Considering she’s 53-years-old and wearing an outfit that a 20-something could chose to wear, there’s nothing mutton dressed as lamb about this lovely lady. She looked stunning in real life!
